Epek’s Training Center: A Place to Welcome, Educate, Train, and Connect Afghans for Better Futures

We are grateful to have secured an affordable, spacious, functional building in which to conduct Long Distance Leadership training and education programs for Afghans.

We are so grateful to the Hodgdon family foundation that provided the financial resources for us to purchase 16 computers for Long Distance Learning and training.

In addition, we were surprised and blessed to have a company donate the desks and chairs! We are so thankful for this provision.

Here IS A TIMELINE SHOWING PROGRESS OF THE EPEK TRAINING CENTER. THIS IS WHAT WE’RE ACCOMPLISHING WITH YOUR SUPPORT:

• As of first quarter 2022, skills training in sewing has started for a group of Afghan women

• The first training class curriculum was developed

• 16 computers were purchased, thanks to the Hodgdon family foundation’s donation

• Desks and chairs were donated

• Training Center building was rented and recently reopened

Next Steps:

Secure funding (please consider giving to meet our goal—see below) to sustain training for the next two years and open classes to full capacity.

This is an ongoing operation of Epek. At the end of two years:

  • 120 Women can support themselves and not beg in the streets

  • 120 Men can be employed and not hopeless about supporting their families

  • 380 Afghan boys will have education on computers and English language.

Help Support the Epek Training Center, and be part of Creating Hopeful, Sustainable Futures for Afghans
