INITIATIVE: EDUCATION/SUSTAINABILITY

Epek International School in the Barek Aub IDP Camp, Kabul, Afghanistan

This initiative has been taken with the aim of providing education and hope to the children of the community who have been deprived of educational opportunities and access to basic necessities.

Epek school will be a beacon of hope, providing quality education to 250 girls and boys aged 7 to15, from grades one to six.

Making an Epek Impact on the Lives of Children in one of the most Impoverished IDP Camps in the Region:

The Barek Aub IDP (Internally Displaced Persons) Camp has been facing significant challenges due to its status as one of the most impoverished camps in the region. Prior to the establishment of our school, children in this community had no access to formal education, leaving them without hope for a better future. Recognizing the pressing need for education in the camp, EPEK International collaborated with the local authorities and the Barek community to address this issue.

Permission Granted and Epek Commitment:
We are extremely grateful to the Barek community and local authorities for granting us permission to open the school. EPEK International is committed to providing basic education to the children of Barek Aub. Our goal is to empower them with knowledge, skills, and opportunities—paving the way for a brighter future.

Dedicated Teaching Staff Hired:
To ensure a high standard of education, we have hired a dedicated team of eight male and female teachers. These educators possess the necessary expertise and passion to nurture and guide the students towards academic excellence and personal growth.

Holistic Approach:
EPEK International's commitment goes beyond just providing basic education. We understand that the camp's residents face various challenges, including the lack of access to essential needs such as food and medical assistance. Therefore, we are working closely with donors and partners to address these critical needs.

Fostering Hope and a Better Future:
The EPEK International School in Bareek Aub IDP Camp serves as a symbol of hope for the children, giving them the tools they need to break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future for themselves and their families.

We firmly believe that even the smallest contributions can create a ripple effect of positive change. By working together, drop by drop, we can bring hope and opportunity to the Barek IDP camp in Kabul.
